Chord Voicings for the Extended Range Bass
By Denson Angulo
"Hey everyone. Here are some basic chord voicings
that are very useable on the 7 (and beyond) string
bass. They are simple voicings that are labeled
based on the basic function (for example a 13th chord
has the bare minimum tones required to give the chord
it's form) so a 6th chord could be a 13th etc. These
are just a few chords available on an ERB. I've
included TAB so you can see the shape of the chords on
the fingerboard. I have, however, not included how to
finger them. I'll leave that up to you. I barre some,
do strange fingerings...do whatever works. These
shapes are movable so have fun!!
